Eban’s article adds tremendous detail about the great lengths to which our Fauci-led cabal of officials worked hard to suppress dissent on the question of lab-vs-natural origin.

The vaccine for this virus should never have been mandated. Having done so, public health has done itself deep harm. One wonders if the reputation of vaccines in general can recover. 

This battle is much larger than the legal status of Ivermectin. What’s really at stake here is the idea of medical freedom itself. And freedom is a precondition for scientific inquiry and the search for the truth. It is also essential for health.

By all means, forget about Covid and live life as normally as possible in defiance of those who live to foster fear. But, never forget the disastrous Covid restrictions that created such destruction. We cannot let anyone off the hook, much less pretend that the policy disaster that created billions of personal tragedies never happened. 

Yesterday, Florida followed Norway by not recommending the Covid vaccine for children. The CDC recommends them. 

The science behind pandemic management needs to be decentralized and include genuine discussion and debate rather than allowing a small cabal to take full power while censoring everyone else.

CDC’s drastic reversal on vaccine mandates seems little to do with a change in “the science,” and more to do with improving Democrats’ dismal approval ratings ahead of the November elections.

Politicians like to talk about bringing the price of prescriptions down, but per usual, the true leaders in society actually do it.

Medical freedom for all would and should include insurance rates and employment contracts that accounted for avoidable risks. And such freedom ends where another person’s reasonable risk ends.

Rather than forcing the vaccine on the young or those with natural immunity, we should focus on vaccinating more older Americans, as well as older people in other countries. That is what will keep the mortality numbers down

Our children are the most vulnerable minority. It is wrong to force them to risk their physical health and wellbeing as part of a scientific experiment, because we adults are afraid of what a virus will do to us.

For most viruses, natural immunity is better than vaccine-induced immunity, and that is also true for Covid.

Government has no “public health” role. It has only a “public freedom” role.

The government must take good medical care from those who have it and redistribute it to those who do not.

When the pandemic ends, politicians will take credit, but the solution, as usual, began when politicians got out of the way.

Individualism remains the best tool to deny government the power to force us to buy health insurance in general or forbid the purchase of the kind of health care plan we prefer.

“Universal Health Care” is the increasing drumbeat of advocates who want Americans to place all responsibility for their health care in the hands of government.

The effort to get vaccinated is akin to sitting at the back of a 9-month long DMV line. Welcome to vaccine central planning.

As early as last May, barely two months after the start of the state lockdown, a New York Post columnist groused: “So Gov. Andrew Cuomo killed Grandma and cratered New York’s economy. But he looked good doing it.”

It’s time to stop listening to Fauci, and time to stop treating his wildly inconsistent political posturing as if it carries any scientific authority.

Those who prefer government management of medicine have a wider agenda: they hate the idea of a free market in medicine because they hate the idea of free markets in anything.

The only reason that the commentators are bewailing the “staggering difficulties” of getting everyone vaccinated is that they never dream of putting the vaccine on the free market.

This has been a year of astonishing policy failure. We are surrounded by devastation conceived and cheered by intellectuals and their political handmaidens.
